Day 5
October 8, 2010, AM
Today we went on a company visit to TTI and MMDA.
TTI (Telecom Training Institute), was my most unforgettable tour ever. They welcomed us warmly, literally. TTI was located at Valenzuela.
What I Learned?
After we arrived at TTI, we immediately proceeded to their laboratory for the lecture. Their representative let us saw how to connect or remove a jacket of a wire using their super expensive stapler-like tool. Also I learned that their tools were so expensive!. They showed us how a packet or signals moved through the wires of a telephone or something. Due to the warm environment, I missed some important lectures in the discussion since their place lacks proper ventilation and air condition. Even if that’s the case, their representative shared almost everything he knew to us.
What I liked?
I liked their representative for sharing his knowledge to us.
What I didn’t like?
Aside from the lack of proper ventilation and air condition, there were nothing more that I did not like.
MMDA
MMDA’s office was located at Epifanio de los Santos Avenue (EDSA) corner Orense Street, Guadalupe Nuevo, Makati Philippines. It was also our last company to visit this very last day of our educational trip.
What I Learned?
I learned from the tour in the MMDA their surveillance system. A series of interconnected CCTV’s installed to key points in Metro Manila. This provided the growing needs of security and active services 24/7.
What I liked?
I liked that even the people inside MMDA were all busy in their respective areas; they still managed to accommodate us and showed us the technology they used in providing the people in Metro Manila a 24/7 efficient service.
What I didn’t like?
During the duration of the tour, there were nothing that I did not like.
